Our Team

We wanted to make something that felt authentically us- a collection of messy thoughts, overpriced clothes, rolls of film, and hyperfixations we just can’t let go. Melodramatic is meant to represent the feelings you feel too stupid to admit, the ideas that are far too imaginary- the girl you sometimes feel ashamed to be.

But trust us, we get it.


  • Co-Founder, Creative Director

    I have always had a strong sense of imagination. When I was younger, I always wrote stories that connected with the music I loved. But as I got older, photography has been my main outlet of creative expression. I am a second year at Chapman University studying creative producing, and love working as a team to create something that can feel so personal.


  • Co-Founder, Editor-In-Chief

    I started writing stories the second I learned how to hold a pencil. Since then, writing has been my passion and the foundation of every creative project I produce: from notes-app-poetry to scientific journalism. I am a second year Media Studies major at UC Berkeley, and love getting involved in student run publications such as Melodramatic.

    I first remember being in awe of the entertainment industry watching award shows on Sunday nights. Now that I’m older, I share the same love but with an appreciation and passion for the work that goes into the magic of storytelling. I’m a second year in Boston studying Public Relations, and I can’t wait to help promote the stories of many creative female voices
