Clothes

I became obsessive over how I wanted to approach my last teenage year of my life this summer. I wanted to present myself to world (meaning my SoCal college campus) in a way that felt like myself- but cooler. Here are some of the things that I’ve either bought or dreamed about all summer long.

My friend introduced me to this app called Locker that just serves as a board to pin everything that you want to buy in collections. You create a place that easily links to the clothes, or really anything, that you are interested in buying.

Price Ranges: Low to High

Something I have really been looking for this summer was a good pair of white- non denim- shorts. While I did find my perfect pair from a European brand, I believe these Brandy Melville ones aren’t a bad alternative- and a quarter of the price.

Lace has been very on trend this summer, and so had the color red (rightfully). This urban outfitters lace tank comes in 5 colors (white and black) and is a great layer piece.

Another more affordable, and sustainable option to the classic white short that I have been searching for. Love By Venus is a great small business that hand makes all of their pieces and is based in Melbourne, Australia. A benefit of these shorts over the Brandy ones above is they come in multiple sizes, but the shipping is more expensive if you live international to Australia. I do love this short a lot though and will most likely purchase.

Kitteny is a brand that I have loved for a couple years now. Sofia got me the Natia Dress from here and I have nothing but good things to say about it. This top is very similar to things I have seen on my Pinterest and I even noticed Olivia Rodrigo wore it for promo for her upcoming album. This shirt is a little more expensive, but I believe you are paying for the quality.

I recently got this shirt and I am in love with it. It is also from Kitteny and my favorite part about it is that it can be reversible- the bows go on the back. Bows are very in trend recently and I think this shirt is a great, unique piece that plays with this trend.

I found this shirt worn by a girl in a Tik Tok and I was absolutely obsessed with it. This depop seller hand knits a selection of their pieces that they sell, and this is one of the many that I think is the coolest thing.

This top goes with the shorts I linked above, and I have had it for about a year and I still love it and get compliments on it. It can be dressed up easily with ballet flats and a midi black skirt, or dressed down with baggy jeans, a chunky belt and black Adidas Sambas.

Lisa Says Gah has been become my new source for unique, “cool girl” clothes. Their recent collection included this tank that is a super flattering fit and cute graphic. They make 2 other graphics on this style tank.

Doên has always known how to make a great shirt, and this top is not an exception of that. I am obsessed with the plaid print.

One thing that I noticed everyone wearing in France was a white skirt. Ever since, I have been on the hunt for my perfect white skirt- and I found it with this. I am obsessed with the ties on the side making it super flexible in sizing, and it adds a bow detail on the sides. It is lined AND has pockets. It’s perfect. I am in love.

Probably my favorite pair of jeans I have ever owned. Rouje is a France based company and their quality and styles remind me of both Reformation and Doen.

I have been so tempted to buy this dress all summer, but I think I need to lust after it just a little longer. Paired with tall black boots and a leather jacket it is a perfect concert dress.

When Réalisation Par first added this dress to their catalog, I loved it. But then they made it in red and it got even more perfect. This dress is also currently on sale and I am never disappointed with this brand.

I think this just may be my favorite dress ever. Everything about it- I am obsessed. (Besides the price)

Shoes

These shoes remind me of a Repetto ballet flat dupe, but I equally love the Steve Madden version. I currently own them in black and they go with anything and everything.

I have been in an Adidas shoe kick this summer, and these are next on my list to buy. While they are not available on the Adidas website, you can find versions on Stock X or GOAT. I am a 7.5 women’s and a men’s 6.5 fit me in Adidas sizing for reference.
